    2. Greater Jackson County friends/family: It is with great sadness we learn of the loss of one of our own. Lottie was a wonderful volunteer, genealogist, person, and distant cousin. Her research and contributions are her legacy that shall live on. My sympathies to all those who knew her and to her family who will miss her tremendously, especially at this time of holiday and family time. Having lost a close loved one at Christmas my heart understands the void we all share in Lottie's passing. My thoughts and prayers to Lottie's friends and family as well as the greater Jackson County family we have found here on our discussion list. May God bless you all during this season. I am sorry to have to report that she passed from this life Friday. I understand that she had a viral type disease which destroyed the white blood cells. There will be a service at or near her home which is in the Atlanta area. Then her body will be shipped and a graveside service will be at 11:00 AM (CST), Wednesday at Rock Hill Cemetery, Washington County, FL. If anyone desires to come, I can provide directions. Lottie was a volunteer who spent countless hours typing cemetery surveys, marriage records, etc. for the Jackson and Washington pages. She also was a frequent contributor to these lists.
