Many years ago I went to the Dothan Eagle office and researched, locating some of their older issues on microfilm. A few months ago, the new staff informed me that there were no issues available at that location. Specifically looking for 1906, especially March 15 or 16. There are several other dates. I'm not sure about this, but I think the Dothan Eagle is on microfilm at the Houston-Love Library. I used to go there and view the film, and even make prints of some stories I'd find. You're right, though. The Eagle used to keep the microfilm from long ago papers. At one point, when I worked in the newsroom, one of my jobs was to read the papers on microfilm and get newsy items for the 25-years ago "column" that ran on the editorial page. I don't know if the Eagle gave the library all of the microfilm or not. Good luck with your search.
