Looking for Andrew J. Hughes, b. abt. 1834 prob. in Randolph or Lee Co., GA., son of William A. Hughes and Priscilla Davis Hughes. They moved to Henry Co. a couple of years before the 1860 census. William d. in 1861, and I believe that the family went to Jackson Co., FL where Prissie's sister Sarah Davis Rivers lived. I know some of the children were married from Jackson, and some lived there during the 1870's. My mother said her Daddy had two brothers killed in the Civil War. She gave their names as John and Richard, but Andrew could have been Andrew John. This is possibly the John. Her father used also to refer to Old Uncle Ander, indicating that Andrew survived. An A. J. Huges married Margaret E. Hart on 9 December 1869 in Jackson Co., FL. Don't have a clue if this is mine or not. In an estate document, he was called Joel once. Any information will be appreciated.
