Right at the moment I don't have any time to research Nathaniel, but can tell you this. All Dykes that I know of are kin. They were in Bleckley County, GA. George Dykes came there from SC. One group left and went to NW FL. One group went over into W Barbour Co, AL and down into Dale County area. See the book on Washington County, FL history and it has a lot about the Dykes in Washington County. It includes the hanging of one, and the family that were killed by tornado. Their family are buried in the Green Head Community of that county. Some of them came back to Dale Co, AL. One of their descendants is Mr. Dykes who has gro store in the Ewell Community of Dale Co, E of Ozark on Hwy 27.
