    3. Hello, I came across a reference to a book "The legacy of African Americans of Jackson County, Florida". Does anyone know anything about it? If anyone happens to have access to it, and surnames are mentioned in it, could they look up the name BELL. Thanks. Karen

    2. It has been a while, and I do not have access, but I do remember coming across it at the Florida State Library in the Florida Collection when I was doing a little self-study of Jackson County history. As I remember, it was largely lots of pictures - prominent Jackson County African Americans, Schools, churches, etc - all with people, most named. Most of the text dealt with explaining the significance of the pictures.
