I know we have seen several recent emails about the Dykes Cemetery in Jackson County, FL. Does anyone know if James H. Dupree is connected to the Dykes family by kinship? marriage? or just neighbors? I am looking for I information on James H. Dupree who is buried in Lee County, GA. Pension records indicate he was with Dykes Company Florida Light Artillery. His pension records indicate he enlisted in 1864. I believe that he was from Georgia and would like to know how he came to join a Florida unit. Can someone tell me where this unit was serving during 1864?
