Dear folks out there, IS ANYONE working on The THARP families of Holmes, Washington, and Jackson counties ? i am terrible shape, i have located the family of Henry Alexander Levins and his wife Mary Tharp, but CANNOT find any thin on Mary Tharp, Levins family, Mary's daughter in law has told me that they were all from around the Bonifay area and i have located them there with the Levins families until 1920 when they more over to Washington county. What i need now is the parents of Mary Tharp or Tharpe, born 13 June 1884 in Fla. Aunt Grace tells me that she had a twin sister that died young but that she also had brothers by the names of Buddy Tharp, Gus Tharp, Johnie Tharp, and Harvey Tharp. I have found James Harvey over in Walton County.....but can not find these Tharps..........can ANYONE Help Me !!!!!!!!!! Henry Alexender Levins was the son of Richmond and Jinsy Levins, he was born on the 24th of Fe! b 1880 most likley in Holmes Co, Fla. He past away in Gulf County, Fla. on the 21st of Feb, 1954 and is buried in the Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka, Fla. along with his wife, Mary Tharp, Levins, and she died on the 6th of Sept 1960. Their children were, Nina Levins, Goodman Minnie Levins, Gay Allie Mae Levins, Dees Grace A. Levins, Gay Tom Levins, and wife Christina Holly and Myrtle Levins, Bass Please ? Apparently a Francis (sic) Tharp was a daughter or granddaughter of my 2-great grandfather John Shepard Haven's second wife, Lidey Huskey, or Lida Hester, and was married to Rufus H. Tharp, Sr. If you run across any of these folks in your searching... please let me know. Unfortunately, I cannot contribute anything to answering your questions...
