    3. Yes, I remember West Campus when in 1951 I was assigned by the Florida Military District to FSU at Tallahassee to help start up the FIRST Army ROTC unit at FSU. We were assigned to one of the old barrack buildings and could watch the FSU Acrobatic Team as they practiced their high-flying antics on their swings adjacent to our building. The ROTC unit was for studies in the Ordnance Dept of the Army. Our unit was made of a Lt. Colonel, a Major, and four Sergeant instructors. I was the Administrative Sergeant along with a Secretary, Mrs. Myra Lawson. The US Army personnel were Lt. Col. Cornell D. Booth (still lives in Tallahassee), Maj. William Lingenfelter - the officers.
