John, in years past you supplied me with ageneaology of the dykes family. In there it listed nancy Dykes, daughter of jacob and catherine bryan dykes, pulaski, Ga 1850 census. Nancy born abt 1838. All along i thought she was my great grandmother who married 1( Ben Burns died in Civil War 2) Sam Scott. however, one of the Edenfield reseachers sent me an e mail 2-3 years back showing me where THAT Nancy had married someone else and stayed in georgia. recently, i found another Nancy Dikes / Dykes born abt 1838 in 1850 Early co census, daughter of henry and Mary dykes. They seem to have died by the 1860 cesnsu. BUT, they too migrated into Gadsden and Jackson co. along with the Dykes from Pulaski Co. ( what a mess ! ) Do you have any further proof from your established Dykes history on this latter Nancy? I'd like to speak with the compiler of that overall gene. that you had kindly sent me. Thanks!
