(May be covered by Jim Woodruff Reservoir) ABERDEEN - 3 miles west of Marianna on R.R. HAYWOOD - On Chattahochee river 7 miles East of Dellwood (May be covered) BUTLER - (Same as Haywood?) LOVEDALE - 4 miles north of Dellwood on Hy 69A. KELLA - 3 miles north of Dellwood on gravel road. PARONT - 2 1/2 miles S.E. of Dellwood. (Possibly on Cow Pen pond). INWOOD - 2 miles west of Sneads on R.R. & Hy. 69A HALCYON - 2 miles north of south county line off Hy 73. This is the info word for word from the book. Not a lot to go on but it might help someone. I can post any of county you request. The towns are not alphabetized and there is no index. Pls let me know. Glenda.
There are also the oldest towns of all, the Apalachicola Indian towns... Iola, Choconicla, & others. If those aren't in the book, I have directions to Choconicla courtesy of Dale Cox but would have to dig for the others. If I can accomplish what I intend, I will start a web site about the Apalachicolas featuring mostly source material, in the very near future, and one of the maps I have shows the reservations created in the 1820s that encompass the towns. As I understand it, there were four reservations encompassing 6 towns... but there is some confusion about a reservation made for Nea Mathla which was apparently never fixed into a particular place till in essence it was sold to a White guy and moved to Tallahassee... all in one fell swoop, I believe: political prestidigitation if there ever was any such.
