All the buisness places there have long been closed and only a Post Office and resturant is still there,and now they have a small Library .It is depressing to see it as it is ,but I am very proud to be a A part of that place . I have lived in Central Fl since 1943 ,when we moved to Lake Wales from Jakin. we were farmers and had a hard time making a living . So my Dad moved us to Fla where there was plenty work in the citrus. But we have always gone back to our little Town as often as we could . The people from there are close and look out for each other . Some are retiring and moving back there . I too would love to do so ,but too many years behind me to change things now. I am glad we can joke about all the things we cant do anything about. We just need to stick together and help each other. My Grand Mothers family was from Altha Fl and it is also a small ,but precious little town. So God Bless all of you for sticking together.
