I found this death notice and thought I would share it on list. This is not a name I research and I have no other info. Southern Christian Advocate Obituaries, 1867-78 Capt. Jacob E. Pooser died in Marianna, Fla., Sept. 18th 1871. To meet Capt. Pooser was at once an introduction to one of South Carolina's fairest specimens of gentility. D. C. Crook, P. For those with interest, my new book "Two Egg, Florida: A Collection of Ghost Stories, Legends and Unusual Facts" is now available in both hard and soft cover. The book is a look at the true stories behind some of Northwest Florida's favorite legends, including: Two Egg, Florida The Ghost of Bellamy Bridge The Legend of Toe-toed Tom The Garden of Eden Jackson County's Pirate Treasure The Washington County Volcano West Florida's "Swamp Booger" (Bigfoot) The Story of Milly Francis (Florida's Pocahontas) I wrote this mostly for fun, but it includes a great deal of historical information and full-color photographs as well. You can learn more and see an online preview at my website, www.exploresouthernhistory.com. Best, Dale Cox
