I might also tell you that my gr gr grandmother Dykes, in Marianna, Jane,, was first cousin to her husband, James Riley Dykes, Jr, and she was a Bryan. Also, my 3 times and 4 times great grandmother Dykes were Bryans! My wife is descended from Theopolis Petty who fought in Rev War in SC and was given land in now Crenshaw Co, Al for his services. His grandson, ws my wife's great gf, Jasper Manning Petty, who is buried just across line in AL, off Hwy 27, in Vaughn - McDuffie Cem, out in a field. Her grandfther, Jasper Newton Petty is buried in middle of road at Sweet Gum Head in Holmes Co. Her dad is Alton Petty, who was born in Wesville and grew up in Panama City, but now lives in Branford, FL. He is kin to all those at Petty's Cross Roads in the New Hope Community. Will have to get back to you on the Yarbroughs. My grandmother was a Dykes, who grew up on the Bascom-Neels Landing Road in Jax Co. I know that one of the Yarbroughs was Dr Green Yarbrough, who came from SC. She was also kin to the Simmons, Tindells, and Oswalds of Jax Co.
