Most of the Heritage book info i get is from my distant cousins from Al. Helen Taylor Andrews In Ozark. James Adkins in Dothan. Jean Lewis in Geneva county. And Dale Clark in Newton Al. Also from Homer Jones, Christine Grimes Thatcher, on the ALDALE Rootsweb site. The Heritage Books are not available or I can't afford to buy them. So you can see why these sites mean so much to me. Since my families were some of the early settlers. I feel related to all these people who use these sites. I grew up with some of them or my mom told me. Back then, if you married one of the family. That family became your family. You know what I mean. Say, if your distant cousin from another family called anyone Aunt and Uncle, they were our Aunt and Uncle also. Which makes it very confusing today. Believe me I had a huge family and these names are in one or the other families. My Ggrandfather and Ggrandmother Jacob and Martha Van Cloe Lamb Snell Ezell had 11 children, 7 girls and 4 boys. My grandfather Isacc J ( Jake ) and Willie Hannah Adkins Ezell had 7 boys and 1 girl. My dad Allen Wesley and Roxey Ann Clark Ezell had 7 boys and 1 girl ( Me ). My GGGgrandfather Fredrick Ezell and 2 of his sons Josiah and Parham Ezell came to Dale or one of those counties that was there at that time in the 1840's, I understand that it was Henry county all the way to the Fl line back in those days. My Clark's multiplyed and beat my Ezell's abt 10 to 1. Each one of the Clark's married several times and had a whole passle of kids. I think most of them had one or two sets of twins. My mom told us she had two sets in her family that she knew of. And she never knew how many bros and sisters she had. It was told that her father Wm. Henry Clark b. abt 1813 had been married 7 times and when one of his wifes died he sold or gave 7 of his children away. We have found 3 of her bros and two of her sisters. And i will keep searching. So to make a long story short. My book will never be finished. But it will give my grandchildren something to read if they are interested. They are already amazed at what i have found. So am I !!!!! So keep up the good work everyone. I am always listening and will jump in every so often to put my two cents worth in. Good Hunting and have a VERY HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR.
