I have been given a desciption to a cemetery in Holmes County, but am trying to learn the name of it. I apparently have three cousins buried there in unmarked graves: Jerral Edsel Majors, Joan Majors, and Charles Edward Deese. The directions I have been given are "go down past the Bethlehem campgrounds and turn right, cross a small bridge and the church was right there on the right. Their cemetery was in the back of the church. The Whitakers settled on 10 Mile Creek in the early 1820's and the road we passed the campground on was in Whitaker settlement." Many thanks.
They are buried at Smyrna Cemetery...- location - From the courthouse in Bonifay, go west one block, turn right (north) on State Road #79 and go 2.3 miles, turn left on State Road #177 and go 4 miles, turn right on dirt road and go .1 mile. Cemetery will be on the left, behind New Smyrna Hope this helps.
