Dear Shirley: I wrote in haste after seeing two conversations referring to political activities of President Bush and Governor Bush. I meant ONLY that politics, and also religious discussions, had no place on the Holmes county site. Only after continuing to read all the comments did I see what a gaffe I'd made. Of course I wholeheartedly support preservation and conservation of all library materials especially those of the State of Florida housed in the capitol. I have a double reason; my relatives were in Walton and Holmes counties before statehood. And my first wife, of 45 years, was a library director. I apologize to you and all other Holmes county devotees for the apparently thoughtless and uninformed comment I made. Ever stronger is my feeling that some topics are not appropriate nor germaine to a genealogical discussion. With sincere regrets, Major H.
