If the State Library is successfully shut down/moved as we know it now, it will affect our genealogy research in a very big way. Much of the information that we now have available on the Holmes County website (and other state and county websites) was acquired by people doing their research at the State library in Tallahassee, or other libraries and sharing their findings. I personally have a lot of data in my Family Tree software that I acquired through visits to the library. It is time for us to let our voices be heard and actions taken before it is too late. I encourage you all to send letters to the Governor, senators, legislators, congressmen. If they get enough protests, they will be forced to look at this issue and vote accordingly. Most, if not all will be wanting your votes when election rolls around once again. Let them know how you feel.
