I'm not sure this is the same Bethel Baptist Church in Poplar Springs Community. I don't think it was established in 1868. Jacob Farecloth might have been the brother of Abraham Faircloth who was the father of Elbert Faircloth. They lived about 10 miles from Bonifay in the Bethlehem community. I think Jacob bought land in Walton County which was the mother county of Holmes County. This is only thinking on my part, no proof. Maybe, someone living in Holmes County can check to see when Bethel Baptist in Poplar Springs Community was established. I made a mistake. Jacob Faircloth was married in Leon County and owned land in Holmes county. I don't know where I got the Walton County stuff. I'm terribly sorry. I don't know who was the mother county for Holmes County. DUH!
