    3. Winnette, I have Noah Wilson Kirkland b 1869/AL. as father to Lee Ander Kirkland. Lee Ander had three brothers: Joseph, Mather and Raymond. I'm not sure of the spelling of their mother's maiden name. I have Charity Becksworth/Beckswith b abt 1875/AL. My grandmother was born by Noah Wilson's 2nd wife, Lu Neta Quattlebaum 1866-1972. 2. Hi, As list administrator for Holmes Co I found a few email addresses that had somehow been subscribed twice, ( list 'L" mode) I have removed only one of the duplicates. (digest mode was okay....no duplicates found) You have probably received a note from Rootsweb that you have been unsubscribed so you can ignore the message. I just wanted to let those that are involved know that they are not unsubscribed completely, you will receive a "blind" copy of this mail as well as your flholmes mail. Most of my Sims, and Yates relatives are buried there. My father is 90 in Nov and mother 86 but their minds are sharp as tacks. Thank God. Barbara Ann Sims Henderson

    3. Hi everybody! We hold our annual McCullough reunion at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. (This is, by the way, scheduled for the second Sunday in October. If you need me to check that cemetery I will be glad to do so.) Here are the directions for reaching it: From I-10, go south on Highway 79 about 2 miles to Highway 280 - Douglas Ferry Road - Turn right - Go approximately 4 miles to Highway 173 - Bethel Church Road - Turn right - Go approximately 1 mile - Church will be on the right. When going this way, Highway 280 (Douglas Ferry Road)is the first paved road south of the Interstate and Highway 173 (Bethel Church Road) is the first paved road on the right after you leave highway 79. NOW, I seem to recall that there are two "Bethel Churches" in Holmes County - but I don't know about the other one. 3. I'm not sure this is the same Bethel Baptist Church in Poplar Springs Community. I don't think it was established in 1868. Jacob Farecloth might have been the brother of Abraham Faircloth who was the father of Elbert Faircloth. They lived about 10 miles from Bonifay in the Bethlehem community. I think Jacob bought land in Walton County which was the mother county of Holmes County. This is only thinking on my part, no proof. Maybe, someone living in Holmes County can check to see when Bethel Baptist in Poplar Springs Community was established.
