Okay, Mea Culpa, I thought merely to pass on information that could be of concren, not to open a political debate on how well a person may be governing or governance. Several people have already left the list because of the debate. We have gone way beyond the intent of the original message. Please no more comments of the skill, aptitude, or common sense of the legislatures or the administrative branch. Now I do have a political question in relation to research. Has anyone ever found the records of party cacasus (sp) that could verify when a person may have been in the county and moved on? I am thinking particularly in the off census years and when they may not have purchased land or recorded deeds. Would these records be available to prove residency in the county? Researchers us the petit and grand jury lists to prove residence and voting records where they were kept. I have the record of an ancestor being elected to the county bank board of Hamilton county Florida which helps pinpoint his death, unless he was elected after he died, and knowing old Josiah Baisden from 1830's he might have been able to arrainge that.
