In the 50's and 60's, I used to live just down the street from what I think was properly called "Davis Island Municipal Pool" back then. More commonly, just Davis Island Pool. It was operated then by City of Tampa Recreation Dept. It is now operated by City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Dept and has somewhere down the line had a name change to "Roy Jenkins Pool" according to the phone book. No idea who Roy Jenkins was/is. And, yes, it is still operational.
