My recollection comes from my best friend Marilyn, who found a lost dog while she and her sister were leaving the swimming pool. They named him DIP, for Davis Islands Pool, where they found him. I believe it was Davis Island Municipal Pool back then. I remember the pool well, from the 1950s, but have no recollection of the others you mentioned. If you haven't already done so, contact Paul Camp at USF-Floridiana Collection Library.
