She was the widow of William van Esselstine and had emigrated to the US in 1923 from Barrow in Furness, Lancs, England with her first husband James Ferguson and neice Edith Salisbury. They lived in Titusville, PA at first. Is there a reliable site I can look for information about births, deaths and marriages as I'm in the UK and have no idea how the US system works for obtaining 'present day' certificates.
