It is not just Hillsborough -- But every mailing list. What is really going on no one knows or is anyone willing to explain the change. Is this then going to become a part of a paid subscritionj to Ancestry? One "list person" told me he has heard nothing from Rootsweb. Rootswebs/Ancestry provides space for the mailing lists and for the message boards for various localities around the worlds. There is a linkage that allows a ONE WAY posting of a message from a message board to a related mailing list. If you wish to respond to the MESSAGE BOARD you can go to the message board and post to it there. As a courtesy, most of the List Moms, who also manage their respective message boards drop the message boards into their mailing lists. Otherwise most of that information is slowly deciminated to the mailing list. We have been only been doing this for about 1 year on this mailing list. Because of the transient nature of this list, I waited 5 years to see how some of the other mailing lists handled it before dropping here. Remember when you see a gatewayed message it comes from the message board, you will have to go to the Hillsborough County Florida message board at Rootsweb/Ancestry and respond to the message board there or to the list. This should be the end of the discussion about the address. Any further comments address them to me directly. I'll get to them as I can. I and out this week. Deborah Byrd List Mom
