According to info I have, Temple Terrace in Hillsborough Co. was an area that consisted of about 1500 acres owned by a lady in Chicago, IL. In 1921 it was bought from her by a group of men in Tampa, FL and turned into an orange grove. The town was named Temple Terrace from the name of the orange that was grown there, apparently the Temple Orange. Most likely your family member was part of that group of men and merely owned a portion of the grove but, lived elsewhere in Hillsborough Co. Hope this helps.
