They are listed in the 1880 and 1900 census for Monroe County, and I am trying to see if there is mention of them being married in 1860. Amanda's surname was Shackelford, or Shackleford. It's possible that they are mentioned in the slave rolls. I saw one statement that Rome was originally from Tampa, indicating that they later settled in Key West, where they definitely lived from 1880 through the early 1900s. Sincerely, Amir Bey
