Troopers identified him as William B. Akers, 63, Route 5, Box 286, Plant City. Akers was struck by a southbound car on Turkey Creek Road at about 10 p.m., and was found dead at the scene, officials said. The driver of the car is being sought on felony charges, troopers said."
