    3. I believe you are mistaken as it was in Levy county near the present day town of Sumner not Sumter County. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosewood_massacre has a map of where it was.     3. Chuck, Judy wasn't talking about an actual massacre, but a town whose *name* was "Massacre". It didn't have anything to do with Rosewood.
