That is, unless you haven't proven for sure some of your information that ties your Mary to the Thomas Co. GA one. I located Allen Womble with his wife Mary (age 24) living in Talbot Co. GA in the 1860 census. This Mary is 10 years younger than yours. Their two daughters, Mary E. (age 5) and Victoria (age 2) are there too. In the following 1870 census, Mary (age 34) and daughters Elizabeth (age 14), Pi?Key (age 11) and Georgia (age 8) are living together - Allen died in 1862 according to the pension application. I did not try to locate Mary in the 1880 census - she's probably there in Talbot Co. though. No sons in these two censuses. However, his name is ALLEN and so is your Mary's son - so perhaps this Allen is some sort of family member?? Talbot Co. GA is in the mid-western section of the state, 7 counties north of Thomas County. I located two other Wamble/Womble confederate soldiers - T.S. Wamble was born in Georgia in 1841 (rather young for your Mary's husband) and died March 23, 1923 in Stewart Co. GA. He enlisted in Stewart Co. The other is L.L. Wamble who was born in 1840 - again young for your Mary. He was from Colquitt Co. GA. Sorry. If I were you, I would look for the death records and work your way backward. Good luck.
