Suzanne, I go to Tampa at least once a year to do my family history. Place to go is the Family History Center on Fletcher (across from USF). I found tons of information, the staff was very helpful and best part was they were open 8-5 Monday - Friday. They have local funeral parlor records dating back to the 1890's.
