Looking for information on John Robert Gill. Born in Baker County, Georgia, he moved to Hamilton County, Florida around 1852.From Hamilton County he moved to Hillsborough County about 1882. By that time he was married to Caroline M.???, had been in the 1st Florida Special Battalion, Co. B, ahd had children. At some point in his life he became a Methodist preacer circuit rider. He lived in Plant City, but was buried in Fort Green, Florida Old Methodist Cemetery. He married Nellie Benham or Denham about 1916. John Robert Gill passed away March 5, 1922. If anyone has any information about John Gill I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. He was my great grandfather, yet I know very little about him.
