Hi MaDonna & Sue, There is a Davis Island in Tampa, Hillsborough Co., Fl.. It sits right in the middle of Tampa Bay. It has been there since 1926. It is a man made Island. Tampa General Hospital is on Davis Island. Back in the Hospitals early years it was Tampa Municipal Hospital.
