Kathy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------- Kathy: There used to be a weekly newspaper in Brandon called The Brandon News, which was owned by The Courier News Corporation (now out of business). You might call the Brandon Public Library (sorry I don't know number, but area code 813) and see if someone might be kind enough to do a lookup and see if newspaper was still in existence in 1979. You could also try to get them to look in back issues of The Tampa Tribune (daily newspaper) if you have a date. I was talking with someone just a few weeks ago and she needed a lookup for The Tampa Tribune. Tampa Public Library has back issues, but will not do a lookup. The Tampa Tribune has a research department, however they want about $35 to do the lookup. WOW. This person finally re-entered her request on this same Hillsborough website asking for a volunteer willing to do a lookup at the Tampa Public Library. Last I heard, someone had promised to do this for her. Connie
