Hi All, Thought it might be time to repost the family we are researching; Martin Derious Patterson (grtgrdfather and brick wall) was orphaned at a very young age and raised by his older sister-Ansy Patterson. "Ansy" may be a nickname but for what we don't know. Martin was never completely sure of how old he was so the dob we have of 1845 may not be correct. We have no dates for Ansy but we do know she married a Dunn in FL. This Patterson line may have originated in GA-then went to TX ,met up with the Perkins family (Martin later married Catherine (Carrie) Perkins Stone- a widow from TX with one daughter named Laura ) and then on to FL (Alachua and then Pinellas/Hillsborgh)around 1866 or earlier. Does anyone have a Patterson couple that died young and left children behind? there may have been other siblings too. Or a Patterson family that was raising a Martin (around 5 yrs old in 1850's) and older sister?
