I have recently learned that my gggrandfather, Jose PEREZ LLORENT, was one of the first "tabaqueros" (tobacco workers?) at the Fabrica de Martinez y Ybor on 9th Ave and 14th St. Does anyone on the list know if there is someplace in Tampa that might have old cigar factory records, specifically of employess? Thanks, Loretta
Regarding factory records: The only place that I know of that might....and I mean might....at least know where to go would be the Tampa History center in downtown Tampa. Well, I guess I can think of two. There is an Ybor City museum that might also.
