    3. The family history center on Fletcher Avenue is OK...its kind of small though. To be honest, I haven't been able to use them very much....the census for Hillsborough are not indexed that I've been able to find and the microfilm copies are hard to read...I don't think Hillsborough was too interested in using completely literate census takers early on. The staff though are incredibly nice, but they are a rotating staff...or last time I checked....so you may not always have someone in there that is knowledgeble about the collections or knows how to work the computer programs. You just kind of have to go there when you have a list of items you would want to look for and then go down the list. It could prove to be a wasted trip if you only go there with one thing to look for. Also, they have age restrictions....leave the kids someplace else.
