I was told, some time ago, that the library at University of South Florida has an extensive collection and I remember seeing or hearing something about the Tampa cigar industry at the Tampa Public Library. However, since my family research doesn't involve the history of the cigar industry, I've not had any reason to dig any deeper. I agree with Kathy, the Ybor City museum should be a great place to start, but keep in mind that many of the old cigar factories were in West Tampa.
