Marc, I disagree with you. THOR has all the obits on line, at least I was able to find my gr grand father who died in 1929, gr father in 1949 and others. I did this a month ago. The collection that they have is extensive and dates back to the early 1900's. They also have the Sunland Tribune that was published in Hillsborough county and the Tampa Times. In addition, the collection of census extends all over the US. The library does not charge for making copies of obits if you do it in person, only for the copy chg of 25 cents. I am not sure if they charge or even if they look and copy things for you upon request.
