The census lists him as born about 1830 in Tennesseee. John's initial was either P or B and he died in Georgia about 1862. The daughter Laura Stone was born 8 April 1860 in Florida and died about 1872 in Hillsborough County, Florida. The widow, Catherine E. Perkins Stone married 2nd to Martin D. Patterson in 1866.
