Frm your library to the Hillsbourough county library. Not: Evidently they are on microfilm at the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library but you have to go in to see them. as for Polk Co. if the person did not actually live in Lakeland one may be hard pressed to find info on people just living in Polk Co. some stuff there - Bartow Historical Library site is good also -they have a searchable site- all marked burials in All Of Polk Co. plus some marriage records and much more- link is not handy for me right now but my Polk site does have the link on the Resource Page http://fl-genweb.org/decole/polk/ I also can do a few look ups but can not get any Tribune obits before at least 1955 - might find some at the public library but last time I was there paper copies were a real pain to get- Peggy
