I have also gotten lots of strange email in the past week with weird attachments. Hope we can find the source and get this stopped. Cynthia
I just realized that I forgot to say what virus. It comes to you as a message "to please review this." The attached file will have various file extensions, .dat, .bat, .exe, .com, .lnk. Don't open the file. The Rootsweb server's don't allow attachments so you can't get the virus from the mailing lists on rootsweb.com. Also the Road Runner server network has been especially hard hit. I receive about 15 messages this morning from someone hijacking the "tampa.rr.com" server. about that many last night from a different user on the rr.com network. I am passing this on because of the havoc it can wreck, usually I would consider this off limits for the mailing list, but I too have received several of these mailings. > This is the worst virus I've seen this year. > > On Saturday I got it 12 times, yesterday about 15 times. I live in Land O Lakes, north of Lutz. Good directions from all. If you're going north on Hwy 41, its on the east (right) side of the road, north of the old school house and south of Lutz-Lake Fern Road. There no fence or sign. Highway 54 is too far north and Lake Crenshaw Road is too far south. Don't worry-it will find you. Take care and welcome to the area. ----- Original Message ----- From: "MICHAEL MARTINEZ" <mamkmm2@prodigy.net> To: <FLHILLSB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 21, 2001 8:52 PM Subject: Re: [FLHILLSB] Lutz Cemetery, Lutz, FL > The Lutz Cemetery is north on US41 and then on the east side of the road. > Its in Lutz proper, is small, but hard to miss ... especially if you are > looking for it. A big thanks to all who took the time to answer my query about Lutz Cemetery. Joyce
The Lutz Cemetery is north on US41 and then on the east side of the road. Its in Lutz proper, is small, but hard to miss ... especially if you are looking for it. If he gets to SR 54 then he has gone too far! I live in Lutz now ... pass it all the time, just have never driven into the cemetery. There are supposed to be some old ... well relatively speaking for this area ... graves in there. Its fairly well maintained or at least appears so from the road. Joyce, The cemetery is on the east side of 41 going north. It has a sign fairly good size sign in front but Its not marked on 41. I managed to miss the cemetery the first time and had to turn around. It has fairly tall trees on the north and south of the cemetery and the west of the cemetery is where you go in. Several of the graves are not marked either. My Ggrandmothers grave isnt marked and my grandfathers grave is marked. My mother has several family members buried there and lives just south of the cemetery. take care Leslie Jonsnowden@aol.com wrote: > In a message dated 7/21/01 7:33:40 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > jstimson@excelonline.com writes: > > > I need to know where Lutz Cemetery is located in Lutz, FL > > I'm looking at a map that I got on-line. Hi Folks, I need to know where Lutz Cemetery is located in Lutz, FL. My son will be traveling there on Monday AM and wants to visit the graves of his grandparents, Charlie & Mary Kilgore. I would like to know the address. Is it off Rt. 41 or the Del Mabry Hwy? Any directions will help. It has been so long since I have been there. Thanks, Joyce
Hi, Anyone out there have the LDS 1880 everyname census on CD? I need a lookup. I have been having the hardest time finding my great grandfather prior to 1898 in records. Can't find a death certificate (1927) and no record in the census before 1900. I do have 1898 deed. I am looking for Henry Haynes (about age 4-10 in 1880) in Caddo, Louisiana, possibly Harrison Texas. He had a sister Sally Haynes (Hanes, Haines, Hayens, Hains) who was born in the 1870s, also brothers Sam, George, and Fred, birthdates unknown. Henry Haynes parents may have been Kitty and Powell Haynes (cant find them in the soundex)they may have died young and thus deceased by the 1880 census. Any suggestions appreciated. temdc@aol.com
Hello Listers, Looking for help on an obit. for Johnnie Walker Avery who died in Ruskin, FL 2/12/1996. Johnnie was the son of Franklin James Avery of Columbia, AL. Thank you all in advance. Don Avery Massachusetts
I am looking for descendants of Charles A. and Elizabeth BUSH, who lived in Limona, Florida during the 1960's and 1970's. I believe they built the house at 810 Elizabeth Street, in the Bates Subdivision in or around 1964. I would like to find photographs of the neighborhood, the house and/or the property it was built on around that time. I cannot find an obituary for either of them in the Tampa Library's TRAILS index (which might mention living relatives) so I assume they either died elsewhere or are still living. Any help would be appreciated, Brian Salmons __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! Mail http://personal.mail.yahoo.com/
With the change of the query boards on Rootsweb/Ancestry, there is a new category of board for those seeking missing persons and adoptive families. to access the new boards go to http://www.rootsweb.com scroll down the page to the query boards. click on the home page You'll find in the upper right hand corner the option to log in, click on that then chose to register. Any one who posts to the boards is not required to establish an identity by registering. The boards are still free. The identity will give the user the option to do mass changes on all of your posts, such as changing email addresses and supposedly in the future to update your posts. Deborah Byrd list manager
I am looking for descendants of Edna B. LeGate, second wife and widow of Wilbur/William LeGate. Both of them are buried in the Limona Cemetery, Hillsborough County, Florida and lived in Limona. Edna owned property on Elizabeth St. (Bates Subdivision) in Limona around the 1930's. In particular I am looking for someone who might have photos of her house/land from that time period. Please take the time today to write a letter to your Senators, your Representative, the President, the Vice-President and the Secretary of Human and Health Services. Addresses at the bottom of this e-mail. This is so important to all genealogists! The rate increase will be effective July 1st, so we don't have much time! Please write today, it will only take a few minutes to compose a letter and send it off. Copied from a post to another list: I have just discovered that the SSA is raising the price by 286% for the most valuable tool that genealogists request, the SS-5 form, Original Application for SS Number... It is going up from its present $7 to $27, effective 1 July 2001. Reference: <http://www.ssa.gov/foia/foia_guide.htm#_Toc517745431> This is untenable, since many people who do genealogy are older retired folks on fixed income... and this large increase appears to be intended to discourage the public from access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act. How can it cost $27 to receive a request, then make and mail a copy of the one page document??? ...Government is not intended to be making a profit... The $7 seems high, when you actually evaluate the task...and Researching costs more...Could it be that they have some awfully high paid clerks...and/or interns...??? Since anything can be proven by statistics, I don't believe their "analysis" but you might want to make your representatives in Congress aware of this... Senate Addresses <http://www.senate.gov/> House Addresses <http://www.house.gov/> President George W. Bush: <president@whitehouse.gov> Vice President Dick Cheney: <vice.president@whitehouse.gov> Assistant-Secretary for HHS: <Sandra.Eubanks-Brown@hhs.gov> Notify all your Genealogical buddies, too??? We all need to write...

Ancestry bought out Rootsweb two years ago. Without the merger Rootsweb.com would no longer exist. Not enough users donated for their free services so Ancestry stepped in. The merger allowed for free services to continue and to have a user pay portion also. The meger between Genconnect and The ancestry family history boards maintains the FREE USE of the boards. You don't have DON'T have to pay to view or post to the Boards. Ancestry requires that the user chose an id and password to give the user the ability to edit their mailing address for board messages they posted and eventually to edit the messages that the user has posted. The apperance of needing to pay for the boards is an issue that we have raised. However, Ancestry doesn't have an alternative way to proved the user the abilty to change addresses or edit previously posted messages. Broken Mail links was one of the major complaints with Genconnect. If anyone has anymore questions holler. The system still is in flux, and they have found some glitches but expect them to be solved in the next couple of weeks. Deborah Byrd
