Looking for information of MARY A. ALEXANDER, born in Orlando. Possibly a widow, and ALEXANDER may be married name. Married Wilson Barlow in 1894, in Maitland, Orange County, Florida. Thanks, Judy
hello listers! My name is E.Marc Stacer, and I need some assistance. I,m looking for any background any one can point to ,on my Grandmothers relatives. Her name was Lydia Miley Stacer (or maybe Staser) she was born in 1 june 1867 and Died in in 1937 (the year after I was born) she is buried in Pleasant grove cem. in oor outside of Durant Fla. Now what I'm trying to find out is who?? her family was.and is any of her family buries in, Tonotosassa Cem. just outside the city(?) of the same name. Now theres a long intriging story behind this Lady, she was married to one Virgil Stacer(staser or stassee) who lived in a township of Bellair somewhere within Clearwater. Now it seems that Virgil and lydia did'nt see eye to eye on several things and she left, and went to some church in pleasant Grove or Durant. And she took 2 of the 4 children she had with her. That would be Violet and Miley(the name comes up again) and left Lillian and her brother (my father)Ezra Gilbert with Virgil, in Clearwater. I think Virgil was killed by a mule he was shoeing (he being a blacksmith) Now Violet is buried next to her mother in Pleasant Grove Cem. what happened to miley I have never been able to trace. Now my father never spoke of his family vry much, but he had a sister named Lillian, and he neamed my sister after her.Now when I was born My birth mother died and Ezra (now Edward) put my sister and I in a masonic orphange in Uitica NY. And I was raised an orphan. In 1999 Ifound my mothers people through another Root list in Belgium,France and England (my god mother 88 years old is still alive.)and I have visited with them.So with that side there is Closure. So now I'm trying to find Lydia mileys roots in Hillsborough cty. Oh by the way does any one know anything about a Gentleman by the name of Brown? That would be one "Parson Brown" a Circuit riding preacher who it said developed the "Parson Brown orange" and this man carried the seedlings around in his sadle bags and where he preached he left seedlings???? now he is supposed to be in Lydia's family so theres a clue. So let me send this long missive out to all and see if any one knows any thing about this grand lady my gran mother and her family.and hope and pray some one will ansure. I remain E.Marc Stacer SgtMaj.USMC Ret. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ .

Looking for information about Valerie (nee Turner) WOODMANSEE (born 1899) who was married to a C.M. Woodmansee and living in Tampa in 1948. I believe she is listed in Tampa city directories in the 1940's and then again in the early 1960's. She, at one time, worked at the Log Cabin restaurant. They had no children. Can find no death certificate for her in Florida. Have exhausted all on-line databases for information. Her husband may have had Woodmansee relatives living nearby. He was originally from New York (I've been told) and I do not know when and where he died . I do not even know what his first and middle names were. If anyone is near Tampa and has access to Tampa City Directories, I would be grateful for a look-up for C.M. Woodmansee (in the 1930's to 1940's) or Valerie Woodmansee after 1948. I believe she was a widow after 1948. I would be very interested to know if she was still alive in the late 1960's or early 1970's. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I have about 20 city directories from various places in the USA dating from 1865 to 1970, and would be happy to trade look-ups with whomever could help me. Thank you! Phyllis in California
