    1. [FLHILLSB] List Mom virus warning
    2. Deborah Byrd
    3. While I don't encourgage virus warnings on the mailing list, the new W32Klex@mm virus. This is a very dangerous monster. Please up date your windows program and your virus definitions. This virus manufactures return addresses based on the addresses in your address book. For example it will take your rootsweb address and send an email out as though the email is comming from Rootsweb. The virus has two attacehed files. Rootsweb and most mailing lists will not allow attached files to be mailed through the mailing list. That is one of the keys to tell if the message is real. You can't get the virus from a legitimate Rootsweb mailing list email. here is a copy of an article published in last week's RootsWeb Review (the April 24, 2002 issue). here is a copy of that article KLEZ WORM WIGGLES ACROSS THE NET. No, RootsWeb.com is not sending you a virus or worm in an attachment -- no matter what these "forged" addresses with RootsWeb name in it say. Be sure your anti-virus software is up-to-date and that you use it. Never open any e-mail attachments unless you have confirmed with the sender that she or he did indeed send it to you for a reason. Do not assume that the attachment came from where it says -- these sophisticated worms are able to forge addresses and they are fooling lots of people. Some even claim to be "worm removal tools." Don't believe them. The Klez worm has been able to spread because of a security vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer (browser) and because many people do not update their browser and download these patches. Don't risk the loss of your personal and genealogical data: Update your browser now: [2-line URL]: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/critical/ q290108/default.asp/ Most antivirus vendors, such as Symantec, McAfee and Sophos, offer Klez patches. Is your computer virus free? Find out at: http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ Previously published in RootsWeb Review: Vol. 5, No. 17, 24 April 2002 Please DO NOT post to the list about this

    1. [FLHILLSB] CLARK/CLARKE
    2. Regina Pipes
    3. I am still trying to help my 79 year old Mother-In-Law find any of her birth family. She was born Blanche Laura CLARK/CLARKE March 12, 1923 Rhode Island State Hospital, Cranston, R.I. Her mother was Florence Edith CLARK/CLARKE and she was age 16 at time of Blancher's birth. Blanche was named after Florence's dead sister. Blanche CLARK died before 1923sister of Florence. Florence Edith CLARK was the daughter of William F. CLARK born abt 1865 in Maine and Anna (I think) born abt 1869 born in Sweden. Florence also had a brother Harry CLARK born abt 1908 in R.I. Florence CLARK also had two sons: Robert H. CLARKE born March 7, 1926 and Harold Vincent CLARK born 19 Nov., 1930. Robert was raised by Frances LYNCH in R.I. Robert was a civilian working for the Navy at Quonset Point. Robert last lived at 681 Kingston Rd., Wakefield, R.I. He died 2 Dec. 1993. Harold Vincent CLARK was in the Air Force and died in Tampa, Fl., 1 April 1995 and is buried in Fl. National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. Plot 201, 0, 856. Blanche once talked to an Aunt of Florence's named Ms. Vincent A. HEALY of 2 Marlow Rd., Warwick, R.I. I am hoping that someone can help me get pictures of Robert and Harold. I am sure there is someone out there that has some. Since Harold was in the Air Force I am guessing there should be some of him in a yearbook or whatever. I know that Harold has/had? a son named Bob CLARK that was living in Tampa Robert went to college in R.I. and probably school there also so there should be some school pictures somewhere. Robert H. CLARKE worked for the Navy at Quonset Point, R,I, so I am guessing there he had to have an Id made. Can anyone please help me? I don't know where he is buried but I am guessing somewhere close to where he lived and worked for all these years in R.I.. I would like pictures of their grave stones also. I feel like I am running out of time. Is there anyone there in Tampa that knew these CLARKS? Could someone go to Bushnell, Fl. National Cemetery and take a picture of Harold CLARK's grave stone for me? Thanks for any help you may have. Regina
