On Insospace.com I have found a Susan Tempkin as having lived or living in Reno, NV. No age is given. The info on this site is sometimes current and sometimes old.

Thanks, KP, I had not thought of that possibility. Good thought. May or may not be the case here... since the last name appears to be different so would assume she had been married. Do you know his middle name? Do you know his wife's name? Are you sure he died in 1979? I found a Russell Darrell Gardner that died in 1999, but not in Hillsborough Co.
I'm sorry I made a big mistake in my last message regarding Stanley and Harriett. He did 9 days after making out the will and she died 10 days, not 29, after the wills were made. Since they died within a day of each other, I feel there must have been some kind of accident, and I will hopefully get the Tampa Tribune for September through interlibrary loan so that I can try and find out more. Thanks again to all. Pat
Thank you. Someone else found that also and relayed it to me. I haven't found one for her husband yet though. Well, thanks to my friends on this list, I have received the wills of Harriet and Stanley Weisshaus from the Clerk of Circuit Court, Hillsborough County. I sent them a check for $10 and in spite of the fact that the charge was $11, they sent them and asked for $1 to be sent now. I want to tell you what this revealed because I find it very interesting. The wills were made out on 12 September 1977, just 9 days before Stanley's death and and 29 days before Harriet's death. Both wills left to the other and then into a trust held by the Exchangw National Book. But here's the interesting kicker: BOTH wills: "I have intentionally refrained from making any provision in this will for my daughter, SUSAN W. Tempkin, for reasons I consider good and sufficient, and I specifically direct that she shall receive nothing from my estate." The answers I have to try and find now is "WHY?" and what caused these two people to die within a few days of each other? Accident? suicide? Interesting, huh? I ask one more favor. Could someone please look in the Tampa telephone directory and see if there are any Tempkins listed. A very deep thanks to all who assisted me in this case. Pat
A part of the news clipping that I found. The date says 27 Feb. 1947 Tampa Tribune. I'm putting on the list for any one researching G.P. Moseley side. A former Tampan who left here 15 years ago to live in England was back yesterday on a belated visit, with a British accent and a Polish wife. He is P. Harley Moseley= Percy Harley Moseley, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Moseley,=George Preston Moseley of 4006 Linn Ave. A native of Tampa, Moseley delivered The Tribune as a boy, and later attended the University of Florida. "I left the University of Florida to go into the Army, as did a number of other Tampa boys at that time," Moseley said. "In Europe, I was transferred to the Paris Peace Conference, and later returned to Washington to join the State Department." After several years foreign service, Moseley resigned from the State Department to enter private business in England. Moseley's wife, though Polish, bore the Irish surname of O'Rourk. Her ancestors fled Ireland during the time of the Stuarts and went to Poland, where they lived until the start of World War II. Now her grandmother, Countess O'Rourk, is back in Ireland, and the once large estate the family had in Poland has been confiscated. This is not the hole news paper clipping but it will show where Percy Harley Moseley went to from Tampa. I also think that he died in England. I found all the letters that he wrote to my Grandmother. They came from all over the world. Happy Hunting For Your Ancestors, Russell Hummerick

I have gotten old issues of the Tampa Tribune on interlibrary loan. I think the microfilm actually came from the State Library of Florida which is located in Tallahassee. I filled out an interlibrary loan request at my local library. It has been quite a while since I have done this, but I think it took about 4 weeks for the film to arrive. Suzanne C. Tank you very much for your reply. Yes, that is one of the alternatives. I'm wondering if there is a place in Florida that interlibrary loans newspapers to out-of-state libraries. I am in New Hampshire. The fact that Stanley and his wife died within 5 days of each other makes me wonder if they died from a car crash or otherwise. I don't believe he was still a practicing physician because he would have been about 75 years old when he died. I have ordered the pages for the probate wills for both Stanley and Harriet and hope that will bring forth another piece of the puzzle. Thank you. Since Stanley Weisshaus was shown as "Dr." Stanley Weisshaus in one of your emails and there seems to be no "obit" in the paper for him, perhaps there is a "news" article about him in the paper instead. It always pays to check each page of a newspaper for several days after a person's death to see if there is an "article" in the paper about the person. If the person was a prominent person or professional, or if the death was of unusual circumstances, there is usually an article on the person that is considered "news-worthy". I have been doing research for over 20 years and have found many such articles when there was no obit for the person. I usually search at least 7 days of papers beyond the date of the person's death. Good luck, I hope this helps.
Pat, The only other thing that I could suggest is to get their death certificates. They generally show the place of interment and maybe the cemetery would have some sort of records. Sometimes they list the name of the parents, if known by the informant and also, if the informant was their daughter you would find her name also, just a suggestion. HI: Bowes Funeral is the one you most probably are looking for....He buried several members of my family, but he has been out of business for many, many years now......it was probably 1974-75 when closed down....He was a wonderful man, very kind, thoughtful and considerate. I have no idea who has his records...he did have several brothers who might still be in Tampa... Hope this will help you some.... Joan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patricia J.
