Andrew Asbury Whitehurst, born 16 March 1855 died 26 July 1939 married Nancy Nannie Rogers 11 November 1872. Both are buried in the Pioneer Section of Anona Church cemetery, Anona / Clearwater / Largo, Pinellas County, Florida. Andrew Asbury Whitehurst was the s/o Daniel Scott Whitehurst and Catherine Campbell. & he was a descendant of Simon Whitehurst a Revolutionary Soldier.

The only Samuel Goodwin listed in Volusia county was only 14 years old so don't think he is who you mean. There are only 40 Goodwins listed in the '30 census for Volusia so I've listed them below. There is an African American Goodwin family headed by a Sam Goodwin, age 50. They were in Ormand in Volusia County. There isn't a wife listed, just him and four children. They are in the list below and are one of the last families listed. Just for kicks I went back to the 1920 census and tried to find a matching family in Volusia County. Couldn't find one that really fit the bill ... all but one of the Goodwin families in Volusia County were white. The one African American Goodwin family, surname Goodwin, didn't match up at all; however, if you want that family info, I'll get it for you. The head of the that household was called Mader Goodwin.
