Most of the following information has been taken from civil war and census records: My GGGrandfather Marion W. Page was born in Randolph Co., Ga, but at some point prior to 1862 he moved to Fl as he enlisted in the 5th Fla Inf (CSA) at Madison, Fl on 3-26-1862. He was married to Mary Thomas, also from Ga. He lost a leg at Antietam and was captured. He was paroled and at hospitalized at Lake City, Fl. He moved to Hernando Co., Fl near Lacoochee and lived there until his death in 1905. He was a Baptist preacher although civil war records list his occupation as blacksmith. His children included George Washington Page, Tilton Page, Lenora PageTom W. Page, John Page and M. Angela Page. M. Angie Page married my GGrandfather William Brown - probably in Hernando Co. Their first child Martin Washington Brown was born in Tiger Bay, Fl. Their other children (most born in Sumter Co., Fl) included Charlie L., J. Archie, Pascal, Mamie, Walter and William Andrew. Marion W. "There are over 80,000 photographs of Civil War soldiers stored today at the U.S. Army Military History Institute, located at Carlisle Barracks, Penn. You can write to Carlisle and ask them to check their files for your Civil War ancestor. Give the soldier's name, rank, unit and dates of birth and death. They will check their files and send up to 10 photocopies of a photograph if found. You will be notified if a picture exists and told the fee for making copies. More photos are being added to the collection all the time - in fact, if you have a photograph of a Civil War soldier, this is a place to send it for posterity. Carlisle will take good care of you original photo, copy it, then return the original along with a complimentary 8x10 reporduction for your trouble. Write to the U.S. Army Military History Institute, Attention: Reference Activity Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, PA 17013-5008. I need to contact the minister of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Columbia County, FL. My grandfather, Aaron Cleveland Stanford, gave the church my gggrandfather Jacob Cloninger, Jr.'s family Bible for the churches 100th anniversary. Jacob is buried in the graveyard next to the church. He was the church's first minister. I need to get any family information that may be in the Bible. I have been unable to find a phone number for the church. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Jean K.

Jean, Do you have a copy of that 100th Anniversary booklet? It has a small photo of Jacob Cloninger in it. If not, l will be glad to send you a copy of it. I called information and could get no number for the church. Possibly they don't have a phone. I have the number for a lady that lives across the street some of the time. She has another home elsewhere but you might catch her at this number. She is very nice and might be able to help. Her name is Regina Graham and number is 904-752-5101. She is kin to the Feagles of that church so possibly knows how to get in touch with the pastor. If you give her my name, she might remember me, but it has been a year or so since I spoke to her. Hope this helps. If not, I will try to find the pastor's name and number. Teri
