    1. [FLGADSDE] "Kalamazoo Engineering C.L.U.B" what does C.L.U.B. mean?
    2. Florida State Hospital Cemetery # 2, Gadsden County, Florida The Florida State Hospital had two sets of plot charts for Cemetery # 2. One was a field chart and one a neat chart done back at office. I noted the differences I found in the charts. On the charts is a stamp that says "Kalamazoo Engineering C.L.U.B". (There is a company in Florida today named " Kalamazoo Engineering) What does the "C.L.U.B" stand mean? I believe this company was hired to move Cemetery # 2. Before the graves were moved they had headboards. When they moved the graves, each grave was given a number on a plaque only. Where Cemetery # 2 is now the hospital does not know. They have no records of where it was moved to. Except for a torn place on the plat map that looks like "ndrdson Place". Hospital probably bought some land to move the cemetery to. On plat map of Division # 1 of Cemetery #2 this is written: "Working Plat for showing location and names of graves for the purpose of moving to New Cemetery on the "ndrdson Place" The numbers on this plat in pencil are the numbers which will correspond to the numbers (word torn - "on")the new plat." Plat maps done in September and August of 1913. When the graves were actually moved not known. We found some headstones that match a few of the white men in Cemetery #2 at the new cemetery on Goat Hill. Whether the families knew were their loved ones were moved to, or if they just found a matching number and put down a headstone, We don't know. No headstones for white women, colored women, or colored men were found. Sandra High McLin and I were told how many new burials were in the new cemetery on Goat Hill. We told the hospital that the next day we were going to count all the graves and see if there was over a thousand extra graves there. The next day we went back and the gate was locked and the man with the key was out of town. I will get back up there and count them. I was told some of the markers are covered with dirt and grass has grown over them. I don't think that a over a thousand markers would have this happen to them. Even if we came up with 300 or 400 extra graves we would have our answer. The hospital does not "think" that the graves were moved to Goat Hill as they think the first burials at Goat Hill was in the 1930's . Yet the hospital has no record of when the moving took place or to where. We know exactly were the original cemetery # 2 was because of the charts on the plat maps. When I was in Michigan this year, I checked with the Kalamazoo, Michigan and had not the time to go back and check further. There is a big mental institution there. Can anyone help solve this puzzle. Thanks Betty
