Can someone answer this question. If so please e-mail ANRKEE@aol.com My GGGgrandfather, Solomon Owens, moved to Gadsden County in c1827 after his first wife (my GGGgrandmother, mother of James G. Owens, my GGgrandfather) died presumably in SC where they were all born. Solomon's second wife whom he presumably married in Gadsden County was Sarah (?), b1808 NC. My guess her family had moved there about the same time as Solomon. They must have married about 1828, because their first child was born in 1829, John Miles Owens. I speculate that she could have named her first son after her father. Could this be true? Do you have a John Miles from NC coming to Gadsden County c1825?
