    2. Interesting the possible Indian connection with the Blounts. Charles Blount was described in his wife's pension application (Annie Elizabeth Owens Blount, daughter of Solomon and Sarah Owens, b 1825 SC) as about five ft. ten inches, black eyes, black hair and dark complexion. Sounds like Native American to me. But Charles was born in Beaufort District, SC, 1814, not Florida. I suspect that the James, John, and Redding were brothers of Charles. Got to find them in the Census. According to my theory, the Owens (old Solomon) came to Barnwell Dist, SC, in 1784, and by 1827-1835 had moved to Gadsden County, FL. Solomon's younger sons stayed in Gadsden County, James G. moved west to Walton Co, FL, where he died in 1902. His eldest and youngest sons moved to GReene County, AL 1870-75. We are still there. Will need to digest the balance of your email. Will be in touch. Scott
