CALHOUN COUNTY TREASURER'S BOOK Tax Records Calhoun County, Florida 1859, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, and 1867 In 1999 while on a trip to Panama City, Florida to visit my parents I had the opportunity to look through some old family papers. Among them was a small booklet approximately 8 x 6 1/2 inches in size. It consisted of twenty-four handwritten pages recording tax entries for Calhoun County, Florida for the years 1859, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, and 1867. I had the pages color copied, and it is these copies I scanned which are seen here. Entries were made in brown and blue ink. Although almost all of the entries consist of tax records, some are unrelated and these appear to have been made primarily because of the need for some paper at hand on which to write. I would like to thank Betty James Smith and Duke Vickrey for their help in making these available to you. I hope that everyone who views and reads these pages will find them both interesting and helpful in their search for information of times past and the names of family members of that time.
